Ben Bernstein is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gutsy. Previously, he was a venture partner and led Security Investing at ICONIQ Growth, a growth equity firm with family office roots with $80B+ of AUM, based in California.

Prior to that, he was the SVP and Co-Head of Prisma Cloud, one of Palo Alto Networks’ main divisions. PANW acquired Ben’s previous container security company, Twistlock, where he was CEO and Co-Founder. Prior to Twistlock, Ben was a product and R&D lead at Microsoft where he spent 14 years working on various security initiatives in Windows and Microsoft’s security businesses.

Ben holds a Computer Science degree and graduated cum laude from Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) and an MBA with a scholarship of excellence from the Reichman University in Israel.

Ben likes cooking, binging TV with his wife, and tropical weekends with the kids. Ben hates writing about himself in the third person.

Brian Lake is the Chief Revenue Officer at Gutsy and is an enterprise software veteran with 20+ years of experience in various sales and sales leadership positions. Brian spent a number of years at Microsoft, Puppet, as well as Oracle and Tripwire. Most recently Brian was the Chief Operating Officer for Torq and prior to that was the Chief Revenue Officer for Twistlock, which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks for $.5B.

Brian holds a B.S from the University of Oregon.

Dima Stopel is the Co-Founder and VP R&D of Gutsy. Previously, he was the VP R&D and Co-Founder of Twistlock and helped take the company to over 400 customers, including 45% of the Fortune 100, and a $.5B exit to Palo Alto Networks where he served as VP R&D for Prisma Cloud Compute.

Prior to Twistlock, Dima was an R&D lead at Microsoft where he spent 10 years working on Windows security initiatives, Bing, and Cortana.

Dima holds a B.Sc. cum laude in Software Engineering and an M.Sc. in Information Systems Engineering, both from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Dima’s thesis concentrates on solving Software Security challenges with Deep Learning.

Dima likes math, cooking, and spending time with his wife and three kids.

John Morello is the Co-Founder and CTO of Gutsy. Previously, he was the CTO of Twistlock and helped take the company to over 400 customers, including 45% of the Fortune 100, and a $.5B exit to Palo Alto Networks where he served as VP of Product for Prisma Cloud.

John holds multiple cybersecurity patents and is an author of NIST SP 800-190, the Container Security Guide. Prior to Twistlock, he was the CISO of an S&P 500 global chemical company. Before that, he spent 14 years at Microsoft where he worked on security technologies in Windows and Azure and consulted on security projects across the DoD, intelligence community, and at the White House.

John graduated summa cum laude from LSU and lives in Baton Rouge with his wife and two sons. A lifelong outdoorsman and NAUI Master Diver and Rescue Diver, he's the former board chair of the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana and current board member of the Coastal Conservation Association.

Melissa Ryan is the CMO of Gutsy. Melissa brings over three decades of diverse marketing experience, spanning the spectrum from startups to established enterprises.

Prior to her role at Gutsy, Melissa served as the Vice President of Marketing at Whistic. There, she played a pivotal role in the company's rebranding efforts to better align with the rapidly changing landscape of the cybersecurity industry and embrace Product Led Growth strategies. Her impressive career also includes building and leading Marketing teams at multiple SaaS businesses, including Act-On Software, Jama Software, and most recently, Zapproved, where she contributed to successful revenue growth and an exit. Melissa also founded and successfully sold Ryan Lighting Group Rocky Mountains, a firm specializing in energy-efficient lighting retrofit solutions for commercial businesses. Additionally, she served as Vice President, Global Client Event Marketing at Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York. Her commitment to community and social causes is evident in her four-year tenure as a Board member of Pile of Puppies Inc., a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization. Melissa holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and is a graduate of the Vista Equity Executive Leadership program.

When she's not busy building brands, you can find Melissa hiking in the forests, enjoying mountain adventures, or surfing the waves of the Pacific Northwest with her two children and her dog, Bourbon.

Pini Karuchi is the CFO of Gutsy. Pini brings 20 years of financial and operational leadership to Gutsy. Prior to joining Gutsy, Pini served as the CFO and COO of Orca Security where he helped grow the company to a $1.8B valuation with hundreds of customers. Prior to that he was the VP of Finance and Operations at Twistlock, which was acquired by Palo Alto Networks for $.5B. During the acquisition he led the due diligence and integration effort. He was also the Head of Finance and Operations at Trusteer, which was acquired by IBM.
